# Enable Configurable Substance Matching for Cross Reporting

Learn how to configure Agency-specific methods for Substance matching during cross reporting.

## About the Feature

With the 23R3 release, Vault Safety includes Agency-specific methods for Substance matching during cross reporting. This feature supports Agencies that require Case Substances to match exactly with Agency-registered Substances. With the added flexibility, for each agency, Admins can set cross reporting evaluations of Case Substances as a subset, a partial match, or an exact match.

## Add the Cross Reporting Substance Lookup Method Field to Organizations

Complete the following steps to add the **Cross Reporting Substance Lookup Method** field to the **Organization** object.

    <li>Go to <strong>Admin > Configuration > Objects > Organization > Agency Detail Page Layout</strong>.</li>
    <li>In the <strong>Details</strong> section, add the <strong>Cross Reporting Substance Lookup Method</strong> field.</li>
    <li>Select <strong>Save</strong>.</li>
