# Enable Product Family Datasheets

Learn how to configure your Vault to use Product Family Datasheets for Expectedness evaluations.

## About the Feature 

With 23R3, Vault Safety supports creating Datasheets for Product Families. Upon creation, the Product Family Datasheet is inherited by all Products within the family that do not have a specified Datasheet. If the Product Family Datasheet changes, those updates are automatically included for Products sharing the Datasheet.

## Update the Product Family Layout

Complete the following steps to add the **Family Datasheet** field to the **Product Family** object:

1. Go to **Admin > Configuration > Objects > Product Family > Layouts > Product Family Detail Page Layout**.
2. In the **Details** section, add the **Family Datasheet** field.
3. Select **Save**.
