# Enable Reusable Workbench Report Sets

With the 26R1 release, you can now configure reusable _Workbench Report Set Definitions_, from which users can generate and run _Workbench Report Sets_ and its child reports. After you have configured this feature, see <a href="/en/gr/826869/">Configure Workbench Report Sets</a> and <a href="/en/gr/860557/">Generate & Run Report Sets</a> for more information.

## Configure the Generate Report Set Action on Workbench Report Set Definition

To configure the _Generate Report Set_ action, <a href="/en/gr/43127/#assign-actions">assign</a> the action to the _Workbench Report Set Definition_ object and do one of the following:
* Select the **Available in All Lifecycle States** checkbox to apply <a href="/en/gr/47850/#Atomic_Security_Actions">atomic action security</a> defaults for the applicable lifecycle states.
* Add the action as a <a href="/en/gr/59885/#define-actions">user action</a> to the applicable states of the _Workbench Report Set Definition LC_ object lifecycle.

Update the following object layouts:
* [_Workbench Report Set Definition_][1]
* [_Workbench Report Definition_][2]

### Update the Workbench Report Set Definition Layout {#report-set-definition}

To update the _Workbench Report Set Definition_ <a href="/en/gr/26387/#how-to-access-page-layouts">object layout</a>, insert the _Workbench Report Set Definition WRD Join > Workbench Report Definition_ <a href="/en/gr/26387/#related-object">related object section</a>.

### Update the Workbench Report Definition Layout {#report-definition}

To update the _Workbench Report Definition_ <a href="/en/gr/26387/#how-to-access-page-layouts">object layout</a>: 
1. Ensure the _Details_ section includes the following fields: 
    * _Workbench View_
    * _Report Category_
    * _Report Subcategory_
    * _Document Sensitivity_
2. <a href="/en/gr/26387/#how-to-add-sections">Insert</a> the _Layout_ control section with the **Slider** (<img class="inline" src="https://platform.veevavault.help/assets/images/saf-app-control.png" alt="slider icon" style="" />) icon. 
3. Insert the _Advanced Options_ <a href="/en/gr/26387/#how-to-add-detail-forms">_Detail Form_ section</a>:
    * **Section Label**: Enter `Advanced Options`. 
    * **Section Layout**: Select **Detail Form - One Column**. 
4. Add the following fields to the _Advanced Options_ section: 
    * _Timezone_
    * _Excel Template_
5. Insert the _Workbench Report Set Definition WRD Join > Workbench Report Set Definition_ <a href="/en/gr/26387/#related-object">related object section</a>:
    * **Section Label**: Enter `Workbench Report Set Definitions`.
    * **Creation Option**: Select **Create record in pop-up dialog**.
    * **Section Help**: Enter `These are all the Report Set Definitions that rely on this Report Definition`.

## Create a Workbench Report Set Definition Tab

To add a _Workbench Report Set Definition_ tab:
1. Navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Tabs**.
2. From the **Actions** menu beside the _Workbench_ tab, select **Add Sub-tab**.
3. Complete the following sub-tab information:
    * **Label**: Enter `Report Set Definitions`.
    * **Tab Type**: Select **Object**.
    * **Object**: Select **Workbench Report Set Definitions**. 
    * **Creation Options**: Select **Prevent record creation**. 
    * **Filter Tab**: Select **Status > in > Active**.
4. Select **Save**.
