# Enable Literature Coding to Product Family

Learn how to configure your Vault for coding _Literature Articles_ to _Product Families_.

## About the Feature

With the 24R2 release, SafetyDocs supports coding _Literature Articles_ to _Product Families_. Previously, users could code articles only to specific _Products_. By providing this additional option, SafetyDocs offers more precise coding of literature articles and broader signal detection.

## Update Layouts

Add the _Product Family_ field to the following objects and layouts:

* _Literature Article: Literature Article Detail Page Layout_
* _Literature Review: Literature Review Detail Page Layout_
* _Literature Search Term: Literature Search Term Detail Page Layout_
* _Literature Standard Search Term: Literature Standard Search Term Detail Page Layout_

1. Navigate to **Admin > Configure > Objects > [Object] > Layouts > [layout]**.
2. In the applicable section, add the **Product Family** field.
3. Select **Save**.

## Grant Object Permissions

Ensure your <a href="/en/gr/22824/#object-permissions">permissions sets</a> are updated to grant the appropriate level of access for users to objects and fields according to your organization's process. Manage object permissions from **Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets > [Permission Set] > Objects > [Object]**.

We recommend granting **Read** permission for the **Product Family** object on the **Literature Actions** permission set.
