# Enable Duplicate Detection During Case Processing

Learn how to configure your Vault to perform duplicate detection during _Case_ processing. 

## About the Feature

With the 24R3 release, Case Processors can perform duplicate detection during _Case_ processing to compare the current _Case_ against all other _Cases_ and _Inbox Items_.

## Add User Action to Case Lifecycle

To configure the _Duplicate Search on Case_ user action on the _Case_ object lifecycle, navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Object Lifecycles > Case Lifecycle** and then add the <a href="/en/gr/59885/#how-to-define-a-user-action">user action</a> to the applicable _Case Lifecycle_ object lifecycle states.

## Update Permission Sets

Update the applicable permission sets to grant users access to the _Case Version Compare_ page upon triggering the _Compare Details_ action:

1. Navigate to **Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets > [Permission Set]**.
2. In the applicable permission set, navigate to the **Pages** tab. 
3. Select **Edit**.
4. For the _Case Version Compare_ page, select the **View** checkbox.
5. Select **Save**.
