# Upload Workbench Reports to the Library

Learn how to upload a _Workbench Report_ to the _Library_.

## About Uploading Workbench Reports to the Library

If configured by your Admin, the _Upload to Library_ action becomes available when a _Workbench Report_ is set to the _Final Review_ state type.

      <p><strong>Note</strong>: If you have a <a href="/en/gr/01233/">Veeva SafetyDocs license</a>, you may be able to use <a href="/en/gr/01242/#pva-scheduling">SafetyDocs PVA scheduling</a> to run a <em>Workbench Report Set</em> on a recurring schedule, allowing Vault to routinely <a href="/en/gr/01242/#source-workbench-report-set-field">generate all <em>Workbench Reports</em> and their associated documents</a> and enabling you to distribute these documents to partners via <a href="/en/gr/659185/">email</a> or <a href="/en/gr/682078/">Vault task</a>.</p>
    </div>

After triggering the _Upload to Library_ action on a _Workbench Report_ for the first time, Vault does the following:
* Creates a new _Library_ document with the _Workbench Report_ document type.
* Names the document according to the _Workbench Report_.
* Attaches the Excel version of the _Workbench Report_ to the document.
* Copies the _Workbench Report_ category and subcategory field values to the document.
* Cross-references the _Workbench Report_ and the document and allows users to <a href="/en/gr/752963/#vault-library">download the PDF rendition</a>.
* Sets the document to the _Generated_ state.
* Enables <a href="/en/gr/01176/">blind protection</a> and <a href="/en/gr/01225/#study-content-protection">study content protection</a> on the document.

If a Vault document already exists for the _Workbench Report_:
* Vault updates the existing document with a new minor version.
* Vault attaches the Excel version of the _Workbench Report_.
* If you updated the report _Name_, _Report Subcategory_, or _Document Sensitivity_ value, Vault does not copy the new value to the document but instead maintains the existing value that was specified.

If you delete a _Workbench Report_, Vault does not automatically delete the associated Vault document. You must navigate to the _Library_ and manually delete the document.
