Vault supports the MFDS-compliant Korea Drug Dictionary for domestic _Case_ and _Localized Case_ processing for Korea, allowing you to add Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) codes for _External Product_ types of _Case Products_ submittable to the MFDS. Veeva updates Vault's Korea Drug Dictionary twice per year, in line with the <a class="external-link " href="https://who-umc.org/whodrug/whodrug-link-korea/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">WHODrug Link Korea<i class="fa fa-external-link" aria-hidden="true"></i></a> schedule. <a class="external-link " href="https://rn.veevavault.help/en/gr/safety-central-dictionary-updates/#korea-versions" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New versions<i class="fa fa-external-link" aria-hidden="true"></i></a> are automatically available in your Vault. Your Admin must enable the <a href="/en/gr/827542/">Korea Drug Dictionary</a> in your Vault. To cross-reference Korea Drug Dictionary codes to WHODrug codes, your Admin must also enable <a href="/en/gr/866963/">WHODrug Link Korea</a>.

## Browse and Code MFDS Products {#browse-code}

When processing domestic _Cases_ or _Localized Cases_ for Korea, you can search the Korea Drug Dictionary to code [_External Products_][1] in the _Case Products_ and _Drug History_ sections. When [adding _Substances_ to _Case Products_][5], Vault adds the related substance codes per MFDS submission requirements.

#### Result: Add a Case Product {#result-case-product}

When you save the changes to the _Case Product_ after selecting a product code, Vault adds the selected product, Local MPID, and manufacturer to the _Korea Drug_ field. For _Localized Case Products_, Vault also populates the _Registration Holder/Applicant_ fields. To remove the code, edit the record and select **Clear Selection**.

#### Result: Add a Case Drug History {#result-case-drug-history}

After you save a drug code, Vault populates the _Korea Drug_ field with the Korean drug name and the MFDS Medicinal Product Identifier, when available. Vault uses the Korean data to perform a dictionary lookup for the related English drug data, then populates the English product name and corresponding MPID code in the _WHODrug_ field, as well as your Vault's <a href="/en/gr/01190/#whodrug-versions">active WHODrug dictionary version</a> and a message describing the result of the cross-reference.

When you save a domestic _Case Drug History_, Vault maps the _Korea Drug_ and _WHODrug_ values to corresponding Korean _Localized Case Drug Histories_.

To remove the code, edit the record and select **Clear Selection**.
