# Configure Custom Outbound Emails

Learn how to configure SafetyDocs to send PVA emails from a custom outbound sender.

## About the Feature
By default, Vault sends outbound emails using the standard @veevavault.com domain. You can configure custom outbound email domains and a custom _From Email Person_.

## Prerequisites
Before you can configure custom outbound emails, you must:
* <a href="/en/gr/78114/#creating-email-domains">Configure a custom email domain</a> for your organization
* <a href="/en/gr/760863/">Enable Customize Sender Email Address for PVA Document Distribution</a>

## Overview
To configure a custom outbound email sender, you must:
1. [Create a _From Email Person_][1]
2. [Add the _From Email Person_ to the _PV Agreement_][2]

## Create a From Email Person {#create-a-from-email-person}
To create a custom _From Email Person_:
1. Navigate to **Business Admin > Objects > Persons**.
2. Select **Create**.
3. In the _Create Person_ dialog, select **From Email Person** and then select **Continue**.
4. Complete the following information:
    * **First Name**: Enter the person's first name.
    * **Last Name**: Enter the person's last name. 
    * **Email**: Enter the email address using a <a href="/en/gr/78114/">custom outbound email domain</a>.
    * **Language**: Select a language from the dropdown.
5. Select **Save**.
6. Navigate to the new _Person_ record and from the **All Actions** menu, select **Verify Outbound Email**.

**Result**

Vault creates the new _Person_ record of object type _From Email Person_. After you verify the outbound email, the _Outbound Email Status_ updates from _Inactive_ to _Active_.

## Add the From Email Person to the PV Agreement {#add-from-email-person}
To add a _From Email Person_ to a _PV Agreement_:

1. Navigate to **Business Admin > Objects > PV Agreements > [PV Agreement]**.
2. Select **Edit**.
3. In the _Details_ section, in the _Originating Email_ field, select a _From Email Person_.
4. Select **Save**.

**Result**

Whenever Vault <a href="/en/gr/659185/">sends emails from a _PVA Activity_ or _PVA Action Item_</a> associated with selected _PV Agreement_, the email's "From" field lists the email address associated with the _Person_ record.
