# Enable Study Aliases

With the 26R1 release, Veeva Safety includes configurable _Study Number Aliases_ to support E2B-imported cases for studies with multiple sponsors. When you set up _Study Number Aliases_, during automated intake Vault can match external study numbers to _Studies_ in your _Study_ library. This feature improves the accuracy and efficiency of intake, reduces manual effort, and supports automated _Case_ promotion for structured sources from trusted partners.

## Update the Study Layout

On the _Study_ object layout, insert the _Study Number Alias_ <a href="/en/gr/26387/#related-object">related object section</a>.

## Update the Inbox Item Layout

On the _Inbox Item_ object layout, <a href="/en/gr/26387/#how-to-add-object-fields">add</a> the _Study Number Alias Match_ field to the _Case Validity & Source_ section.
