# Enable Dynamic Parameter Mapping for Calculations

With the 26R3 release, you can dynamically map filter values from _Signal Reporting Period_ and _Signal Product Profile_ object fields instead of filtering for _Cases_ with a fixed value. After you have configured this feature, see the following articles for more information:

## Update the Workbench View Parameter Object Layout

Add the _Default Value Object_ and _Default Value Object Field_ after the _Safety Object Reference_ field on the _Workbench View Parameter_ object layout.

## Update the Workbench View Object Type Layouts

On the _Workbench View_ object, insert the _Workbench View Parameter_ related object section to the _Principal View_ and _Filter View_ object type layouts with the following information:
* **Section Label**: Enter `View Parameters`
* **Creation Option**: Select **Create record in pop-up dialog**

## Grant Permissions

Ensure your permission sets are updated to grant _Edit_ access for the _Default Value Object_ and _Default Value Object Field_ fields on the _Workbench View Parameter_ object.
