# Enable the Medical-Safety Connection

Learn how to configure your Safety Vault to enable the Medical-Safety Connection.


## About the Feature

In 24R1, organizations with both a Medical Vault and a Safety Vault can now use a standard connection. The Medical-Safety Connection automatically transfers Adverse Event data, such as patient, reporter, product, and event information, from MedInquiry to Vault Safety.

Before starting the enablement instructions on this page, ensure you have <a href="/en/lr/53358/#how-to-establish-a-vault-to-vault-connection">established a connection</a>.

## Activate the Adverse Event Integration

The **Adverse Event Integration** is inactive by default. Follow the steps below to activate this Integration:
1. Go to **Admin > Connections > Medical Safety Connection**.
2. Expand the **Integrations** section.
3. Select **Adverse Event Integration**.
4. Edit the **Status** field to **Active**.
5. Save the page.
