# First Steps for Safety Signal Admins

Learn how to set up your environment to get started with Safety Signal.

## Set up Safety

A prerequisite to using Safety Signal is to set up Safety. Follow the instructions in <a href="/en/lr/01227/">First Steps for Safety Admins</a>.

Safety Signal is refreshed every 24 hours with data from Safety. After setting up Safety, Admins should wait until the next refresh (after midnight UTC) before running signal detection calculations.
