Learn how to configure your Safety Vault to validate your organization’s MedDRA credentials and license as part of the MedDRA dictionary update process.
About the Feature
With the 24R3 release, Vault Safety automatically verifies the ID and password when upgrading the MedDRA dictionary in your Vault. If the credentials are invalid, Vault displays an error message and does not proceed with the upgrade. This ensures that your organization remains compliant with MSSO licensing requirements, preventing unauthorized updates and helping to maintain regulatory standards.

Configure the Validate Dictionary License Action
Configure the Validate Dictionary License action as a user action on the applicable Dictionary lifecycle states. When configured, this action appears only on the MedDRA Dictionary type of Dictionary record.
Update the Dictionary Layout
We recommend updating the MedDRA Detail Page Layout for the Dictionary object to include the Last Valid License Check Date and Last Valid License Check Status fields so you can easily determine the status of your MedDRA license validation.
