# Enable Copy Datasheet Expectedness Justification to Case Assessments

Learn how to configure your Vault to map adverse event expectedness rationales on _Datasheets_ to _Case Assessments_ and _Localized Case Assessments_.

## About the Feature

With the 24R3 release, Vault Safety supports adding rationales for adverse event expectedness to _Datasheets_. When populated, Vault copies text in the new _Expectedness Justification_ field on _Datasheets_ and populates the text in the same field on _Case Assessments_ and _Localized Case Assessments_. This feature supports users when entering expectedness justifications in the J2.11 Other References data element of PMDA E2B(R3) reports.

## Update Object Layouts

To support this feature, you must add the _Expectedness Justification_ field to the applicable layouts for the following objects:

* _Case Assessment Expectedness_
* _Localized Case Assessment_
* _MedDRA Criteria_ for the _Datasheet Criteria_ object type

To add the field:

1. Navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Objects > [Object] > Layouts > [layout]**.
2. In the _Details_ section, add the **Expectedness Justification** field.
3. Select **Save**.
