# Manage Workbench Dashboards

_Workbench Dashboards_ display data in components for _Workbench Reports_ that depend on the same _Principal View_. Using tabs, you can visualize datasets in groups. You can customize _Workbench Dashboards_ and apply dashboard filters to refine Safety Workbench data for analysis.

After running the _Workbench Dashboard_ the first time, it will run automatically upon loading the page. After the _Workbench Dashboard_ runs, you can export each _Workbench Dashboard Component_ in CSV format.

2. From the email or notification, select **Download CSV**.

The CSV file has the following attributes:
* Vault names the file using a combination of the dashboard name, component name, and the time at which the CSV was generated.
* Unlike for dashboard component tables, there is no limit to the number of rows (_Case_ data) returned in the CSV output.
* Vault returns results using the dashboard's filters.
* Vault orders the data based on the <a href="/en/lr/873295/">sorting</a> logic.

## Generate & Run Reports from Dashboard Components {#run-reports}

In view mode, you can save a copy of any _Workbench Dashboard_ table chart as a _Workbench Report_. To do this:
1. On a dashboard component, select the **Generate and Run Report** (<img class="inline" src="https://platform.veevavault.help/assets/images/saf-generate-run-report-icon.png" alt="generate-run-report-icon" style="" />) icon. \
    Vault sends a notification and an email when report generation is complete.
2. From the email or notification, select the link to the report. You can also navigate to the report from the **Workbench > Ad Hoc Reports** tab.

The _Workbench Report_ has the following attributes:
* Vault names the report using a combination of the dashboard and component name.
* Vault creates the report using the dashboard filters, _Workbench Case Series_ or _Signal Case Series_, and component view and layout.

After you select the _Generate and Run Report_ action on a component, the action becomes unavailable until you apply new filters or exit the page's view mode. The _Generate and Run Report_ action generates both an Excel and CSV file. If the component's safety view is <a href="/en/lr/752963/#case-series">_Case_ series-enabled</a>, Vault will also create a new _Workbench Case Series_.
