# Enable Datasheet Expectedness for Blinded Study Products

Learn how to configure your Vault to generate expectedness for blinded _Study Products_ on blinded study _Cases_.

## About the Feature

With the 24R3 release, you can associate _Datasheets_ with _Study Product Placeholders_ so that Vault can generate expectedness for blinded _Study Products_. When study _Cases_ are blinded, Vault generates _Expectedness_ records for every _Study Product Placeholder Datasheet_. Because this feature works in Vaults configured to isolate blinded product information, for unblinded _Cases_, Vault updates expectedness for both the blinded and unblinded records based on the available information. This feature supports only double-blinded clinical trial studies without study arms.

## Prerequisites

Before configuring this feature in your Vault, you must contact Veeva Managed Services. In addition, you must configure <a href="/en/lr/691318/">Clinical Trials: Isolate Blinded Product Information</a>.

## Configure the Study Product Placeholder Object

To configure the _Study Product Placeholder_ object, update the layout and add the _Generate Study Product Datasheets_ action. To complete these procedures, navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Objects > Study Product Placeholder**.

### Update the Study Product Placeholder Layout

To update the _Study Product Placeholder_ object layout:

1. Navigate to the **Layouts** tab and select **Study Product Placeholder Detail Page Layout**.
2. Insert the **Study Product Placeholder Datasheet > Study Product Placeholder** <a href="/en/lr/26387/#how-to-add-sections">related object section</a>.
3. In the _Datasheets_ section, we recommend <a href="/en/lr/26387/#how-to-edit-related-object-columns">editing the default columns</a> to include:
    * _Name_
    * _Label/Brochure_
    * _Country_
    * _Core_
4. Select **Save**.

### Configure the Generate Study Product Datasheets Action

To configure the _Generate Study Product Datasheets_ action on the _Study Product Placeholder_ object, <a href="/en/lr/43127/#assigning-actions-to-an-object">assign the action</a> to the object and then configure a <a href="/en/lr/59885/#how-to-define-a-user-action">user action</a> on the applicable states of the _Study Product Placeholder Lifecycle_ object lifecycle.
