# Enable Centralized Medical Assessment View

Learn how to configure a centralized view of all related assessment information for a _Case_.

## About the Feature

With the 25R2 release, Safety supports viewing all related assessment details in a centralized location, streamlining the medical review process for complex _Cases_. The new _Medical Assessments_ section offers a combined view of _Case Assessment_, _Case Assessment Result_, and _Case Assessment Expectedness_ object records, allowing users to view and evaluate all information in a single section, rather than having to switch between three (3) sections to complete a review.

The _Medical Assessments_ section provides a consolidated view while continuing to support the previously available adding, editing, and deleting functionality.

Once you have configured this feature, see <a href="/en/lr/873962/">Perform Medical Assessments</a> for more information.

## Recommended Setup

Although not required for using the _Medical Assessments_ section, we recommend <a href="/en/lr/26387/#how-to-remove-sections-and-pages">removing</a> the _Case Assessment_, _Case Assessment Result_, and _Case Assessment Expectedness_ control sections from all applicable _Case_ object layouts.

## Add the Medical Assessments Section to Cases

Add the _Medical Assessment_ control section with the **Slider** (<img class="inline" src="https://platform.veevavault.help/assets/images/saf-app-control.png" alt="app-control" style="" />) icon to applicable _Case_ object layouts with the following configuration:

* For the _Medical Review (Unblinded)_ layout, in the **Blinding Type** field, select **Unblinded and Open Label**.
* For the non-blinded _Medical Review_ layout, in the **Blinding Type** field, select **Blinded and Open Label**.

## Grant Permissions

As the _Medical Assessments_ control section displays information from the _Case Assessment_, _Case Assessment Result_, and _Case Assessment Expectedness_ objects, ensure users who need to view the section have at minimum _Read_ permission for their <a href="/en/lr/22824/#object-permissions">permission sets</a>. Grant additional access to objects and fields according to your organization's process. Manage object permissions from **Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets > [Permission Set] > Objects > [Object]**.
