# Enable Ability to Specify Product Families in Aggregate Reporting Groups

With the 26R1 release, you can specify _Product Families_ in _Aggregate Reporting Groups_. After you have configured this feature, see <a href="/en/lr/873342/">Configure Aggregate Reporting Groups</a> for more information.

## Overview

To enable the ability to specify _Product Families_ in _Aggregate Reporting Groups_, you must:

1. [Update the _Aggregate Reporting Group_ layout][1]
2. [Create the _Reporting Group Product Family_ layout][2]
3. [Grant object permissions][3]

## Update the Aggregate Reporting Group Layout {#update-arg-layout}

For the _Aggregate Reporting Group_ object, insert the _Product Family_
<a href="/en/lr/26387/#how-to-add-sections">related object section</a>, or <a href="/en/lr/26387/#save-as-layout">copy</a>
the standard layout and set the new custom layout as the <a href="/en/lr/26387/#set-a-default-layout">default</a>.

## Create the Reporting Group Product Family Layout {#create-rgpf-layout}

For the _Reporting Group Product Family_ object, <a href="/en/lr/26387/#save-as-layout">copy</a> the standard layout and set the new custom layout as the <a href="/en/lr/26387/#set-a-default-layout">default</a>.


## Grant Object Permissions {#object-permissions}

Ensure your <a href="/en/lr/22824/#objectpermissions">permission sets</a> are updated to grant the appropriate level of access for users to the _Reporting Group Product Family_ object according to your organization's process. Manage object permissions from **Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets > [Permission Set] > Objects > Reporting Group Product Family**.
