# Configure Countries for Local Risk Management Plans

Learn how to configure countries in your Vault for local risk management plans.


## About Risk Management Plans

SafetyDocs allows you to track the authoring, approval, and distribution of global and local risk management plans (RMPs) and additional risk minimization measures (aRMMs). You can also categorize and track identified risks with related measures to be taken both globally and by market.

For any country that requires local risk management plans, Vault can create them from a _Core Risk Management Plan Version_ record. For information about risk management, see <a href="/en/gr/798948/">Risk Management Overview</a>.


## Prerequisite

Your Admin must <a href="/en/gr/801756/">configure your Vault for Risk Management</a>.


## Enable Local Risk Management Plans for a Country

To enable Vault to create local risk management plans for a _Country_:

1. Navigate to **Business Admin > Countries > [country]**.
2. Select **Edit**.
3. In the **RMP Required** field, select **RMP Required**.
4. Select **Save**.

**Result**

When you run the _Create Local RMPs_ action on a _Core Risk Management Plan Version_ record, Vault creates _Local RMP_ and _Local RMP Version_ records for any _Product Registrations_ associated with the _Core Risk Management Plan's_ _Product Family_ in the selected _Country_.
