# Enable WHODrug Global Chinese Browser

With the 26R1 release, Safety supports the coding of <a href="/en/lr/917562/#products-section">_External Products_</a> on domestic _Cases_ for China using WHODrug Global Chinese. This feature streamlines case processing for Chinese domestic _Cases_ and _Localized Cases_ with the introduction of the _WHODrug Chinese Search_ browser, allowing users to search and browse _External Products_ directly in Chinese.

Veeva updates Vault's WHODrug Global Chinese data twice per year, in line with the <a class="external-link " href="https://who-umc.org/whodrug/whodrug-global/regional-integration/whodrug-chinese/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">WHODrug Global Chinese<i class="fa fa-external-link" aria-hidden="true"></i></a> schedule. <a class="external-link " href="https://rn.veevavault.help/en/gr/safety-central-dictionary-updates" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New versions<i class="fa fa-external-link" aria-hidden="true"></i></a> are automatically available for your Vault. The WHODrug Global Chinese version Vault uses for coding is determined by the <a href="/en/lr/01190/">WHODrug Global (English) version</a> configured in your Vault.

## Prerequisites
To enable this feature in your Vault: 
* Your organization must maintain a valid <a class="external-link " href="https://who-umc.org/whodrug/whodrug-global/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">WHODrug Global subscription<i class="fa fa-external-link" aria-hidden="true"></i></a>
* The _WHODrug Dictionary_ record must be in the _Active_ state

## Update Object Layouts {#layouts}
* <a href="/en/lr/26387/#how-to-add-object-fields">Add</a> the _Enable WHODrug Global Chinese_ field to the _WHODrug Dictionary_ object layout on the _Dictionary_ object, below the _Active WHODrug Version_ field.
* <a href="/en/lr/26387/#how-to-add-object-fields">Add</a> the _WHODrug Chinese_ control field with the **Slider** (<img class="inline" src="https://platform.veevavault.help/assets/images/saf-app-control.png" alt="Slider Icon" style="" />) icon to the following object layouts on the _Case Product_ object, under the _WHODrug_ control field:
    * _Base Product_
    * _External Product_

## Activate WHODrug Chinese Search {#activate}
To allow users to browse, search, and code _External Products_ using the _WHODrug Chinese Search_ browser:
1. Navigate to **Business Admin > Objects > Dictionaries > WHODrug Dictionary**.
2. Select **Edit**.
3. Select the **Enable WHODrug Global Chinese** checkbox.
4. Select **Save**.
