Configure Literature Abstract Translation Settings

Before you can send literature abstracts for translation, you must configure these settings in your Vault.

About Literature Abstract Translations

Users can now send literature abstracts for translation directly from their Vault using the Amazon Translate Connection. Translation requests can be sent per abstract from each Literature Article record or in bulk from a Literature Review record. For more information, see Translate Literature Abstracts.

To align literature abstract translations with your organization’s requirements, you must first define the maximum number of articles that can be translated and the maximum abstract length that can be sent for translation. Configuring these settings on the Amazon Translate Connection saves costs and ensures that you are making the best possible use of this feature for your organization.

Configure Translation Settings

Complete the following steps to configure your translation settings:

  1. In Admin, go to Connections and select Amazon Translate Connection.
  2. Under the All Translation Settings section, select Amazon Literature Abstract Translation.
  3. In the Details section, select Edit and then configure the following settings according to your organization’s requirements:
Field Description
Maximum Number of Characters per Request Enter the maximum number of characters that can be sent for translation per request.
By default, this field is set to 10,000 characters.
Maximum Number of Requests per Month Enter the maximum number of translation requests that can be sent per month.
By default, this field is set to 1,000 requests.
