Learn how to configure your Vault to validate steady-state versions of documents in PSMF binders.

About the Feature

With this release, Vault’s validation of steady-state binding for PSMF documents has been enhanced. When the review and approval of PSMF binders is initiated, Vault verifies that all PSMF Content documents in your binder are bound to a state associated with the Steady or Obsolete state types. If the binder includes documents that do not meet these conditions, Vault blocks its approval. Automatically generated documents such as the PSMF Logbook or table of contents are excluded from this validation.

This enhancement has the following results:

  • Draft documents are prevented from being included in the PSMF PDF
  • Approval of PSMF binders is not blocked by:
    • Obsolete documents that will already be excluded from the PSMF PDF
    • Documents that are automatically generated when the PSMF PDF is generated

For more information about PSMF binders, see Manage PSMF Binders and Logbooks.

Support for this feature was added in 24R2, which includes the necessary configuration by default. Vaults deployed before 24R2 must have the configuration upgrades described on this page to enable this feature.
