Learn how to enable the automated classification of significance for Inbox Items imported from the Safety-EDC Vault Connection.

About the Feature

With the 24R2 release, support for automatically classifying Inbox Item Significance was added for Inbox Items imported from the Safety-EDC Vault Connection. Vault can classify initial Case Inbox Items as well as the significance of Follow-up Inbox Items. After Vault assigns Inbox Item Significance, Intake users can prioritize promotion accordingly.

Prerequisites

To use this feature, you must first enable creating Follow-up Inbox Items. For more details, see Configure Case Promotion Settings.

Update the Inbox Item Layout

Add fields to the Inbox Item layout:

  1. Go to Admin > Configuration > Objects > Inbox Item > Layouts > Inbox Item Detail Page Layout.
  2. In the Case Validity and Source section, add the Significance field.
  3. In the System section, add the Automation Message field.
  4. Select Save.

Update the Transmission Profile Layout

Add the Enable Auto Significance field to the Transmission Profile Connection object type layout:

  1. Go to Admin > Configuration > Objects > Transmission Profile > Layouts > Connection Profile Page Layout.
  2. In the Inbound Settings section, add the Enable Auto Significance field.
  3. Select Save.

Update the Safety-EDC Connection Transmission Profile

Set the Enable Auto Significance field on the Safety-EDC Connection Transmission Profile:

  1. Go to Business Admin > Objects > Transmission Profiles > Safety-EDC Connection.
  2. Select Edit.
  3. In the Inbound Settings section, set the Enable Auto Significance field to Yes.
  4. Select Save.

(Optional) Add Recalculate Auto-Significance User Action

Add the Recalculate Auto-Significance user action to the Inbox Item object lifecycle so Intake users can manually recalculate the Inbox Item Significance if needed:

  1. Go to Admin > Configuration > Object Lifecycles > Inbox Item Lifecycle.
  2. In the States section, select Marked as Follow-up.
  3. Create a new user action using the following information:
    • Perform with conditions
    • If: Intake Method > equals > CDMS Connection
    • Allow the following actions: Recalculate Auto-Significance
      • Action Label: “Recalculate Auto-Significance”
  4. Select Save.
