Learn how to update your Vault’s configuration to enable user actions to change the status on controlled vocabularies.
About the Feature
Enhanced configurability of Controlled Vocabulary records was added to Vault Safety in the 19R3.4 Limited Release and the 20R1 General Release.
The ability to edit controlled vocabularies is automatically enabled. However, to enable activating and deactivating records, you must configure the appropriate user actions.

Add a User Action to Deactivate a Record
- In the Admin area, go to Configuration > Object Lifecycles > Transmission Lifecycle.
- Open the Active state, and then add an action to Change State to Inactive.
Add a User Action to Reactivate a Record
- In the Admin area, go to Configuration > Object Lifecycles > Transmission Lifecycle.
- Open the Inactive state, and then add an action to Change State to Active.
