With the 22R1 release, Veeva Safety supports automated case promotion for initial and follow-up cases. Vault can verify whether an Inbox Item received from an external system is valid for promotion and offers various merge methods based on seriousness. We have added the following update to this feature:

  • Automated Case Promotion for Non-Cases: With the 23R2 release, Veeva Safety supports Automated Case Promotion for non-cases. For example, cases that do not need to be reported to any Health Authorities.

Prerequisites

To use this feature, you must enable the Merge to Active Case Version setting and specify the applicable Prohibited States for the intake setting.

Configure the Transmission Profile Object

We recommend using the standard layouts for the Transmission Profile object, which includes the following fields in the Inbound Settings section:

  • Enable Auto Promote
  • Non Serious Merge Method
  • Serious Merge Method

Update Transmission Profiles

You must populate the following fields on the application Transmission Profiles to specify automatic promotion and merge method parameters:

  • Enable Auto Promote
  • Non Serious Merge Method
  • Serious Merge Method

Configure Automated Case Promotion for Non-Cases
