Enable Automated Classification of Inbox Item Significance

Learn how to enable the automated classification of significance for Inbox Items generated by the Safety-EDC Connection.

About the Feature

With the 24R2 release, Vault can automatically classify Significance values for Inbox Items generated by the Safety-EDC Connection. Vault can classify initial and follow-up Inbox Items. After Vault assigns Significance, Intake users can prioritize promotion accordingly.

After you have enabled this feature, complete the steps in Configure Inbox Item Significance Criteria.

25R2 Update: Safety-EDC Connection: Configurable Significance Rules

With the 25R2 release, you can configure Significance Rules to define how Vault identifies significant and urgent-significant Inbox Items imported from the Safety-EDC Connection, customized for your specific business processes.

Prerequisites

Before enabling this feature in your Vault, you must complete the following:

Update the Inbox Item Layout

Update the Inbox Item object layout:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Configuration > Objects > Inbox Item > Layouts > Inbox Item Detail Page Layout.
  2. In the Case Validity and Source section, add the Significance and Automation Message fields.
  3. Insert a related object section for the Significance Result object so users can review which Significance Criteria rules Vault evaluated when assigning a Significance value.
    1. Create a layout rule to hide this section when the Intake Method is not Safety-EDC Connection.
  4. Select Save.

Update the Transmission Profile Object Layout

Add the Enable Auto Significance field to the Transmission Profile object layout for the Connection object type:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Configuration > Objects > Transmission Profile > Layouts > Connection Profile Page Layout.
  2. In the Inbound Settings section, add the Enable Auto Significance field.
  3. Select Save.

Update the Safety-EDC Connection Transmission Profile

Populate the Enable Auto Significance field on the Transmission Profile for the Safety-EDC Connection:

  1. Navigate to Business Admin > Objects > Transmission Profiles > Safety-EDC Connection.
  2. Select Edit.
  3. In the Inbound Settings section, for Enable Auto Significance, select Yes.
  4. Select Save.

Configure the Rerun Significance Criteria Action on Inbox Item

We recommend configuring the Rerun Significance Criteria user action so Intake users can manually recalculate the Significance value of Inbox Items marked for follow-up. To do this:

  1. Assign the action to the Rerun Significance Criteria object.
  2. Create a user action on the Marked as Follow-up state of the Inbox Item Lifecycle with a condition to perform conditionally when the Intake Method is Safety-EDC Connection.
