Learn how to configure your Vault for coding Literature Articles to Product Families.
About the Feature
With the 24R2 release, Vault SafetyDocs supports coding Literature Articles to Product Families. Previously, users could code articles only to specific Products. By providing this additional option, Vault SafetyDocs offers more precise coding of literature articles and broader signal detection.
After you have configured this feature, see Manage the Literature Review Process for more information.
Update Layouts
Add the Product Family field to the following objects and layouts:
- Literature Article: Literature Article Detail Page Layout
- Literature Review: Literature Review Detail Page Layout
- Literature Search Term: Literature Search Term Detail Page Layout
- Literature Standard Search Term: Literature Standard Search Term Detail Page Layout
- Navigate to Admin > Configure > Objects > [Object] > Layouts > [layout].
- In the applicable section, add the Product Family field.
- Select Save.
Grant Object Permissions
Ensure your permissions sets are updated to grant the appropriate level of access for users to objects and fields according to your organization’s process. Manage object permissions from Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets > [Permission Set] > Objects > [Object].
We recommend granting Read permission for the Product Family object on the Literature Actions permission set.
