About the Feature

With the 24R3 release, Vault Safety extends the multi-product selector for Study Products from Inbox Items to Cases, providing a more consistent user experience across the application. You can now configure the Specify Study Products action on Cases for clinical trial studies, enabling users to add multiple Study Products to a Study Case at once. This results in faster processing of complex studies with numerous phases or study products.

Configure the Specify Study Products Action on Cases

To configure the Specify Study Products action on the Case object, create the action on the object and then configure a user action on the Case Lifecycle object lifecycle.

Create the Specify Study Products Action on the Case Object

Navigate to Admin > Configuration > Objects > Case > Actions, and assign the Specify Study Products action to the Case object. We recommend not selecting the option to make the action Available in All Lifecycle States.

Configure the Specify Study Products User Action on Case Lifecycle States

Add the Specify Study Products action as a user action on the Case Lifecycle object lifecycle. We recommend configuring the action on the following states:

  • Data Entry (Initial)
  • Data Entry (Reopened)

You can configure the action on additional states as required by your business process.

We recommend configuring the user action to perform conditionally when:

  • Report Type > equals > Study
  • Study > Study Has Unspecified Products > equals > No
