About Literature Highlighted Terms
Literature Highlighted Terms define the words that Vault highlights in the Abstract field of your Literature Article records. You can configure your Vault to highlight the specific predefined terms that matter for your organization’s specific patient, seriousness, and company-specific term needs.
Vault comes populated with a number of standard Literature Highlighted Term records, based on standard patient and seriousness terms. While you cannot change or delete standard Literature Highlighted Term records, you can:
Prerequisites
To use Literature Highlighted Terms, your Admin must enable Highlight Literature Abstract Terms.
Create Literature Highlighted Terms
To create a Literature Highlighted Term record in your Vault:
- Navigate to Business Admin > Objects > Literature Highlighted Terms.
- Select Create.
- On the Create Literature Search Group page, populate the following fields:
- Term Category: Select the type of term from the picklist:
- Patient
- Seriousness
- Company Term
- Text to Highlight: Enter the term you want Vault to highlight in the Abstract field of your Literature Article records. This field is case-insensitive.
- Term Category: Select the type of term from the picklist:
- Select Save.
Result
Vault creates a new Literature Highlighted Term record in the Active state. Whenever a user is in Read mode on any Literature Article record, Vault highlights any instance of the Text to Highlight value that appears in the Abstract field (provided the field’s Language setting is English).
Inactivate or Reactivate a Literature Highlighted Term
To inactivate or reactivate a Literature Highlighted Term record in your Vault:
- Navigate to Business Admin > Objects > Literature Highlighted Terms > [Literature Highlighted Term].
- From the All Actions menu, select an option:
- Inactivate Term
- Reactivate
Result
When you inactivate a term, Vault changes the Literature Highlighted Term record’s status to Inactive. The term is no longer highlighted in the Abstract field of your Vault’s Literature Article records.
When you reactivate a term, Vault changes the Literature Highlighted Term record’s status to Active. The term is once again highlighted in the Abstract field of your Vault’s Literature Article records.
