Learn how to set up and configure the Korea Drug Dictionary for maintenance, case processing, and submissions with the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) codes.

About the Feature

With the 25R1 release, Vault Safety supports coding on External Product types of Case Products against the Korea Drug Dictionary for domestic Cases and foreign Localized Cases. Veeva updates Vault’s Korea Drug Dictionary twice per year, in line with the WHODrug Link Korea schedule. New versions are automatically available in your Vault. You cannot utilize previous versions.

Update the Case Product Object Layout

For the Case Product object layout for the External Product type, add the Korea Drug field.

Complete the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Configuration > Objects > Case Product > Layouts > External Product Page Layout.
  2. Select Edit.
  3. In the Details section, add the Korea Drug field with the Slider (slider-icon) icon above the WHODrug field.
  4. Select Save.

Update the Localized Case Product Object Layout

For the Localized Case Product object layout for the Localized Case Product type, add the Korea Drug field.

Complete the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Configuration > Objects > Localized Case Product > Layouts > Localized Case Product Detail Page Layout.
  2. Select Edit.
  3. In the Details section, add the Korea Drug field with the Slider (slider-icon) icon.
  4. Select Save.

Create the Korea Dictionary Record

To add the Korea Drug Dictionary to your Vault:

  1. Navigate to Business Admin > Objects > Dictionary.
  2. Select Create.
  3. For type, select Korean Drug Dictionary.
  4. Select Continue.
  5. Enter a Name. We suggest Korea Drug Dictionary.
  6. Enter details for any additional fields.
  7. Select Save.
