About AS2 Connections
Vault Safety AS2 Connections are replacing Vault Safety Gateways. AS2 Connections provide significant technical improvements including Admin management of Internet Protocol (IP) lists, more concise outbound IP lists, and improved Certificate Management.
Complete the following steps to enable AS2 Connections in your Vault.
Create a Page Layout for AS2 Connections
- Go to Admin > Configuration > Objects > Connection > Page Layouts, then select Create.
- In the Add Page Layout dialog, enter the following settings:
- Object Type: AS2
- Page Layout Label: AS2 Detail Page Layout
The Page Layout Name populates automatically based on the name you entered in the Page Layout Name field.
- Select Done.
- Ensure the Details section includes the following fields:
- AS2 Additional ACK Stages
- AS2 Compress Before Sign
- AS2 Encryption
- AS2 MDN Setting
- AS2 Partner Certificate Expiry
- AS2 Partner ID
- AS2 Partner URL
- AS2 Signature
- AS2 Vault Certificate Expiry
- AS2 Value Gateway State
- AS2 Vault ID
- AS2 Vault URL
Add the Connection Allowed List and Connection Client Related Objects
Below the Details section, use the Add Section/Page () icon to add the following Related Object sections:
- Related Object: Connection Allowed List
Creation Option: Create record in pop-up dialog - Related Object: Connection Client
Configure Default Columns
Complete these steps to add the IP column to the Connection Allowed Lists section:
- In the Connection Allowed Lists section, select Edit Default Columns and add IP to the list of selected columns.
- Select Save.
Add the Connection Field to the Transmission Profile Page Layout
To allow a Transmission Profile to be configured to use an AS2 Connection, go to Admin > Configuration > Objects > Transmission Profile > Layouts and edit following Page Layouts to add the Connection field to the Details section:
- AS2 Gateway Detail Page Layout
- System Gateway Detail Page Layout
