Enable Case-Level Nullification and Amendment Reasons for Transmissions

About the Feature

Vault Safety supports Case-level reasons for amendments and nullifications. This feature allows Case Processors to enter this value once at the Case level, improving efficiency and compliance. When available, this data is exported to E2B files.

Add the Transmission Reason Fields to the Case Page Layout

Complete the following steps to enable entering nullification and amendment reasons at the Case level for Transmissions:

  1. Go to Admin > Configuration > Objects > Case > Page Layouts > Case Page Layout.
  2. In the Details section, add the following fields:
    • Transmission Reason
    • Transmission Reason Text
  3. Select Save.

Grant Permissions

Ensure your permissions sets are granted the appropriate level of access to objects and fields according to your organization’s process. Grant permissions for this feature using the following steps:

  1. Go to Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets > Case Entry Actions > Objects > Case.
  2. In the Object Field Permissions section, select Edit.
  3. Select the Edit checkbox for the following fields:
    • Transmission Reason
    • Transmission Reason Text
  4. Select Save.
