Configure Support for Company Product Type

Learn how to configure your Vault to support the Company Product Type.

About the Feature

As of the 23R1 release, Vault Safety supports the new Company Product Case Products introduced for Cosmetics, Nutritional, and other product types with all Safety Data Exchange capabilities (for example, Submissions, Distributions, E2Bs, imports). The Vault Safety reporting rule engine has been extended to support rules based on product types.

With the Safety Rule Parameter called Product Registration Type, you can select one or more Product Types that the rule must satisfy for it to trigger. See Reporting Rule Parameters for more information on this parameter.

If your Vault contains either of the following scenarios, you must populate the Transmission Product Type on Product and Study Registrations before configuring any Safety Rules that use this parameter:

  • Any existing standalone Device product on which the Registration does not specify the Transmission Product Type.
  • Any existing Reporting Family with a Reporting Family Member that is a standalone Device product on which the Registration does not specify the Transmission Product Type.

Depending on your Admin’s configuration, the Transmission Product Type is configured in the Registered As or Transmission Product Type field of registration records.
