Enable Faster Company Product Selection on Inbox Item

Learn how to configure Product auto-coding and browser capabilities on Inbox Items.

About the Feature

With the 23R2 release, Vault Safety supports auto-coding and browsing for Products that are not included in the WHODrug dictionary on Inbox Items. You can also search for a Company Product using the Product Registration fields, Trade Name, or Product (As Reported). Additionally, you can use filters to narrow your search.

Update the Inbox Item Page Layout Products Section

Perform the following steps to configure the Inbox Item page layout:

  1. Go to Admin > Configuration > Objects > Inbox Item > Page Layouts > Inbox Item Detail Page Layout.
  2. In the Products section, select the Edit icon.
    An Edit Products window appears.
  3. In the Fields, add Product Coding App.
  4. Configure Show Trade Name as one of the following:
    1. If you want the system to auto-code the Product based on the Product Registration, set this field to False or leave this field blank.
    2. If you want the system auto-code the Product based on the Product Registration Name (Trade Name), set this field to True.
  5. For Show Product Family, select True if you want to display this field in the Product browser. Otherwise, select False.
  6. Save the page.
