About the Feature

This feature allows you to define the Product, Substance, and other parameters the system will use to detect a Product-Event.

Once you have completed the configuration steps on this page, learn how to create Signal Product Profiles.

Update the Signal Product Profile Page Layout

Perform the following steps to add fields and sections to the Signal Product Profile page layout:

1. Go to Admin > Configuration > Objects > Signal Product Profile.
2. In the Page Layouts tab, go to the Signal Product Profile Details Page Layout.
3. In the Details section, add the following fields:
   • Include Characterization Concomitant
   • Include Characterization Interacting
   • Include Generic Products
4. (Optional) Reorganize the Details section and edit it to display two columns in the Section Layout to match the following image:

5. Add a Related Object section for Signal Product Reporting Periods using the following information:
   • Related Object: Signal Product Reporting Period
   • Section Label: Signal Product Reporting Periods
   • Section Name: signal_product_reporting_periods__c
   • Creation Option: Create record in new page
6. Add a Related Object section for Products using the following information:
   • Related Object: Signal Product Profile Product
   • Section Label: Products
   • Section Name: signal_product_profile_products__c
   • Creation Option: Create record in pop-up dialog
7. Add a Related Object section for Substances using the following information:
   • Related Object: Signal Product Profile Substance
   • Section Label: Substances
   • Section Name: signal_product_profile_substances__c
   • Creation Option: Create record in pop-up dialog
8. Add a Related Object section for Other Identifiers using the following information:
   • Related Object: Signal Product Profile Identifier
   • Section Label: Other Identifiers
   • Section Name: signal_product_profile_identifiers__c
   • Creation Option: Create record in pop-up dialog
9. Add your desired columns to the newly created sections.

Update Signal Permission Sets

Configure Signal permission sets based on your Organization’s needs. Perform the following configuration for all applicable permission sets:

1. Go to Users & Groups > Permission Sets > [permission set].
2. Go to the Objects tab.
3. Use the following table to grant object and object field permissions:

   Object	Object Permissions	Object Field Permissions
   Signal Product Profile	Read Create Edit Delete	Grant Edit permissions for the following fields: Profile Name Primary Source Minimum Cases Organization Threshold EB05 Threshold EBGM Threshold PRR Threshold X2 Include Characterization Concomitant Include Generic Products Include Characterization Interacting
   Signal Product Profile Product	Read Create Edit	Grant Edit permissions for the following fields: Name Product Signal Product Profile
   Signal Product Profile Substance	Read Create Edit	Grant Edit permissions for the following fields: Name Signal Product Profile Substance
   Signal Product Profile Identifier	Read Create Edit	Grant Edit permissions for the following fields: Name Identifier Type Identifier Value Signal Product Profile
