About the Feature

Support for the Signal Detection Dashboard was added to Vault Signal in 22R2. This feature allows you to identify Product-Event pairs and segment the data using filters and interactive visual components.

Once you have completed the configuration steps on this page, see Use Signal Detection for more information about using the Signal Detection Dashboard.

Prerequisite

Make sure you have followed the configuration steps in Enable Creating Signal Product Profiles before following the instructions on this page.

Create the Open Detection Action for the Signal Product Profile

Perform the following configuration to create the Open Detection action:

1. Go to Admin > Configuration > Objects > Signal Product Profile.
2. In the Actions tab, create an Open Detection action using the following information:
   • Label: Open Detection
   • Status: Active
   • Name: open_detection__c
   • Leave Available in All Lifecycle States unselected so that you can assign the Open Detection action to a specific lifecycle state or user role.

Add the Open Detection Action to the Signal Product Profile Lifecycle

Perform the following configuration to add the Open Detection action to the Signal Product Profile lifecycle:

1. Go to Configuration > Object Lifecycles > Signal Product Profile Lifecycle.
2. Go to the Active state to edit the User Actions.
3. Create a new rule using the following image:

Create the Open Detection Action for Signal Product Reporting Periods

Perform the following configuration to create the Open Detection action for Signal Product Reporting Periods so that users can open the Detection Dashboard from a specific reporting period on the Signal Product Profile:

1. Go to Configuration > Objects > Signal Product Reporting Period.
2. In the Actions tab, create an Open Detection action.
3. Make sure the Create Action page matches the following information:
   • Label: Open Detection
   • Status: Active
   • Name: open_detection__c

Add the Open Detection Action to the Signal Product Reporting Period Lifecycle

Perform the following configuration to add the Open Detection action to the Signal Product Reporting Period lifecycle:

1. Go to Configuration > Object Lifecycles > Signal Product Reporting Period Lifecycle.
2. Go to the Active state to edit the User Actions.
3. Create a new rule using the following image:

Grant Permissions for Signal Detection

To allow users to refresh the data and apply filters on the Signal Detection Dashboard, you must grant Edit access to the Signal Product Profile object fields. Update permissions for the applicable permission set(s).

To allow users to access the Detection Dashboard, go to the Signal Product Profile object for the applicable permission set(s). Then, go to the Object Action Permissions section to grant Execute permissions to Open Detection.
