With the 26R1 release, Safety supports the coding of External Products on domestic Cases for China using WHODrug Global Chinese. This feature streamlines case processing for Chinese domestic Cases and Localized Cases with the introduction of the WHODrug Chinese Search browser, allowing users to search and browse External Products directly in Chinese.
Veeva updates Vault’s WHODrug Global Chinese data twice per year, in line with the WHODrug Global Chinese schedule. New versions are automatically available for your Vault. The WHODrug Global Chinese version Vault uses for coding is determined by the WHODrug Global (English) version configured in your Vault.
Note: Vault requires a WHODrug Global Chinese version of March 2026 or later to return WHODrug Global Chinese data.
After you have configured this feature, see Code WHODrug Chinese Products for more information.
