Vault maintenance jobs support application functionality and performance.
Overview
A maintenance job is a regular task that a system performs to keep the software functions reliable and up-to-date. In the context of the Safety Suite, Vault performs maintenance jobs at hourly, daily, and weekly intervals.
Navigate to Admin > Operations > Job Definitions to view Safety maintenance jobs by frequency:
- The Safety Hourly Maintenance job performs all of the hourly jobs at the start of every hour.
- The Safety Daily Maintenance job performs all of the daily jobs every day at 11 PM in your Vault’s timezone.
- The Safety Monthly Maintenance job performs all of the monthly jobs on the first day of every month at 11 PM in your Vault’s timezone.

| Validation Error Log: Removes validation errors older than 30 days generated on Validation Error Logs when the Evaluate Regulatory Conformance action is run. | Daily |
| Email transmission: Updates the state of email Transmission records to Error for any records with unrendered cover letters. | Daily |
| EDQM mapping for E2B files: Updates the EDQM coding dictionary with any updates from the EDQM standard terms database. | Daily |
| CIOMS I forms: Generates CIOMS I forms for all Cases closed in the past day. | Daily |
| Smart MedDRA Coding: Resets the Number of Requests in Current Month field on the MedDRA Coding Connection: MedDRA Coding Settings: Veeva MedDRA Coding Settings record. Note: The Number of Requests in Current Month counter has been turned off temporarily. This known limitation will be addressed in a future release. |
