About WHODrug Link Korea
Safety supports coding External Products on domestic Cases and Localized Cases for Korea with Korea Drug Dictionary and WHODrug Dictionary. When you configure the WHODrug Link, for External Products coded with either dictionary, Vault applies the corresponding code from the other dictionary to the product. By cross-referencing Korea Drug Dictionary and WHODrug codes, Vault eliminates the need to manually code External Products twice and increases coding accuracy and consistency.
Prerequisites
Consider the following prerequisites for managing the WHODrug Link Korea:
- Your Admin must enable the feature.
- Your organization must maintain valid WHODrug Link Korea, WHODrug, and Korea Drug Dictionary licenses.
- You must configure the applicable WHODrug Link Korea for the active versions of the Korea Drug Dictionary and WHODrug Dictionary in your Vault.
WHODrug Link Korea Versions
WHODrug releases new versions of WHODrug Link Korea twice per year, in March and September. Veeva makes new versions available in your Vault within approximately two (2) weeks of release. You control which version Vault uses for cross-referencing codes during case processing. For details about which WHODrug Link Korea versions Safety supports, see Safety Central Dictionary Updates.
Update Available Versions
When a new WHODrug Link Korea version is available to use in your Vault, the Active Link Korea Version field on the WHODrug Link Korea record displays a message alerting you that the available versions list is out of sync with the server. When this happens, you can import all available versions:
- Navigate to Business Admin > Dictionaries > WHODrug Link Korea.
- Select Fetch Dictionary Release from the All Actions menu.
Update Version
To update the version used for case processing:
- Navigate to Business Admin > Dictionaries > WHODrug Link Korea.
- Select Edit.
- In the Active Link Korea Version field, select the appropriate version.
- Select Save.
When the update is complete, Vault sends you an email and notification. The status of the WHODrug Link Korea becomes Active and Vault cross-references WHODrug and Korea Drug Dictionary codes using the specified version.
