Learn how to configure your Vault to create and send Early Notification Reports for Cases.
About the Feature
With the 25R2 release, Vault supports the ability to use the reporting rules engine to automate the transmission of early notification (24/48/72 hour) reports to agencies and partners. This feature introduces the Early Notification Report rule parameter and the Evaluate Early Notification Obligations action. When the Evaluate Early Notification Obligations action runs, the Safety rule engine evaluates rules with an Early Notification Report rule parameter and generates the necessary Transmissions.

Overview
Complete the following procedures to configure Early Notification Reports in your Vault:
- Update the Case layout
- Create the Early Notification layout
- Configure the Evaluate Early Notification Obligations action
Update the Case Layout
To include Early Notification Reports in the Submissions & Distributions section of the Case layout, navigate to Admin > Configuration > Objects > Case > Layouts > Case Page Layout and edit the reference constraint of the Submissions & Distributions related object to include early_notification__v.
Create the Early Notification Layout
Create an object layout for the Transmission object with the Early Notification object type.
Configure the Evaluate Early Notification Obligations Action
To configure the Evaluate Early Notification Obligations action, assign the action to the Case object and add the action as a user action to the applicable states of the Case object lifecycle.
