Enable Pregnancy-Related Case Fields

With the 25R3 release, Veeva Safety adds pregnancy-related fields to the Case object.

After you have configured this feature, see Process Pregnancy Cases, Child Information & Parent Information for more information.

Update the Case Layouts

To configure the Case object for this feature, navigate to Admin > Configuration > Objects > Case and add the fields and layout rule updates to the Case object layouts as shown in the following table:

Add to the Family section of the following Case object layouts:

  • Case
  • Patient
  • Child Information
  • Parental Information

Update the Pregnancy layout rule for the following Case object layouts to hide this field if not a pregnancy case:

  • Case
  • Patient
  • Child Information
  • Parental Information
Fetal / Infant Status

Add to the Family section of the following Case object layouts:

  • Case
  • Patient
  • Child Information

Update the Foetus layout rule for the following Case object layouts to hide this field if not a pregnancy case:

  • Case
  • Patient
  • Child Information
Gestation Age at Outcome

Add to the Family section of the following Case object layouts:

  • Case
  • Patient
  • Child Information
  • Parental Information

Update the Foetus layout rule for the following Case object layouts to hide this field if not a pregnancy case:

Fetal Outcome

Add to the Family section of the following Case object layouts:

  • Case

  • Child Information

Update the Foetus layout rule for the following Case object layouts to hide this field if not a pregnancy case:

Cesarean Type

Add to the Family section of the following Case object layouts:

  • Case
  • Patient
  • Parental Information

Update the Pregnancy layout rule for the following Case object layouts to hide this field if not a pregnancy case:

  • Case
  • Patient
  • Parental Information

Add the following layout rule to the Case, Patient, and Parental Information layouts:

  • Label: Cesarean Type
  • Description: Hide Cesarean type field if delivery method does not include cesarean
  • IF this Layout Rule Expression is TRUE: not(includes(delivery_method__v,'cesarean_section__v'))
  • Apply the following display effects:
    • Effect: Hide
    • Type: Fields
    • Values: Cesarean Type
Fetal Defect Add to the Child Information section of the Child Information object layout Update the Foetus layout rule of the Child Information object layout to hide this field if not a fetus case.
Congenital Anomaly Add to the Child Information section of the Child Information object layout Update the Pregnancy layout rule of the Child Information object layout to hide this field if not a pregnancy case.
