Enable Ability to Specify Product Families in Aggregate Reporting Groups

With the 26R1 release, you can specify Product Families in Aggregate Reporting Groups. After you have configured this feature, see Configure Aggregate Reporting Groups for more information.

Overview

To enable the ability to specify Product Families in Aggregate Reporting Groups, you must:

  1. Update the Aggregate Reporting Group layout
  2. Create the Reporting Group Product Family layout
  3. Grant object permissions

Update the Aggregate Reporting Group Layout

For the Aggregate Reporting Group object, insert the Product Family related object section, or copy the standard layout and set the new custom layout as the default.

Create the Reporting Group Product Family Layout

For the Reporting Group Product Family object, copy the standard layout and set the new custom layout as the default.

Grant Object Permissions

Ensure your permission sets are updated to grant the appropriate level of access for users to the Reporting Group Product Family object according to your organization’s process. Manage object permissions from Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Sets > [Permission Set] > Objects > Reporting Group Product Family.
