With the 26R1 release, Safety introduces a new Approval Due Date field on Cases. This field represents the internal deadline for Case approval, ensuring that Case Processors are immediately aware of the target date necessary to complete processing ahead of the regulatory submission due date. You can configure an Approval Due in Days Safety Rule Parameter in your Safety Rules, allowing the Safety Reporting Rules Engine to calculate and populate the Approval Due Date on a Case based on configured regulatory timelines. This automation significantly improves internal compliance and reduces the risk of late regulatory submissions by providing critical visibility into internal processing deadlines.

Once you have enabled this feature, configure an Approval Due in Days Safety Rule Parameter for this feature.

Update Object Layouts

Complete the steps in the following sections to update the Case and Transmission object layouts for this feature.

Update the Case Layout

Add the following fields to the Details section of the Case layout:

  • Due Date Rule
  • Approval Due Date
  • Approval Due Date Rule

Update the Transmission Layouts

Add the Approval Due in Days field to the following Transmission object layouts:

  • Submission
  • Distribution
  • Early Notification
